I stumbled across one for the first time while watching a Bill Bailey performance – I think it’s one of the oddest, funniest sounding instruments on the planet. It just looks weird too. Like an ironing board with an erection.

Then, thanks to YouTube, I found Theremin enthusiast Jon Bernhardt playing Video Killed the Radio Star on his very own instrument, and as gifted as he clearly is this is without a doubt one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen:
