My Claim To Fame – A Nerdy Nom-Nom

God bless Sheena Gates‘ little cotton socks. Not only does she regail us with unending wit and drama on Twitter but, and to quote her own words, in a week that is normally quite ’emo’ for many of us returning to the grindstone, she has brought a little ray of sunshine to the circle-jerking, ego-flated SA geekosphere.

To quote directly from her blog:

The Nerdies have sparked controversy, jealousy, laughter, ego wars and even half nudies. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of competitiveness in this circle jerking world of ours, and I hate to admit it but I couldn’t have actually topped myself if I tried when it comes to bringing out these online nerdies egos. Its been amusing to no end.

So if you think I smell bad and could use some metrosexual prizes, please mosey on over to Sheena’s blog and cast your vote in my favour. Or vote for Don if you really want to vote for a hottie :P Or don’t vote at all if you can’t stop laughing. Either way, join in the fun because it’s been a really cool way to start off the year – not taking life too seriously!

  • I have a feeling we’re going to need to see half-nude pics of you too.

go on. make it worth our while!

  • … or vote for me cos I’m a real, truel super geek! hee hee! I love this little contest, especially explaining to my friends and family why being nominated for a Nerdy is a GOOD thing! ;)

  • Don

Yeah Mike, let’s get some helf-nekkid Stopforth action going on for the girls. Votes is votes! ;)

  • In the absence of Kyknoord on the poll, you got my vote ;)

But I agree with Don….nudity will definitely clinch it.

  • I call nudies for The Nerdies!

    Woo!

  • Don, while we’re at it, I vote you show us your cleavage too, big boy.

  • butt-cleavage FTW!

  • Awesome post Mike. You have everyone talking about this post :)

  • hahaha I just realized I commented on the wrong post :)

    Damn Tabbed browsing :P

    Nerdy nom-nom’s FTW!

What Clients Say...

Accenture had to opportunity to collaborate with Mike on an engaging panel discussion on Digital Disruption as part of the inaugural Social Media Week 2014. Mike’s expert opinion on Social Media / Digital and its implications for businesses and government as they seek to remain relevant in this digital era was extremely well received!

I saw Mike speak at Social Media Week.

Having the pleasure of listening to Mike addressing – amongst others – the topic of personal branding, the word “extreme” came to mind when I think of him. Not only an extremely entertaining and engaging speaker, but truly gifted with being extremely knowledgeable.

I saw Mike speak at Internal digital strategy event.

I’ve known Mike Stopforth for the past decade and on a dozen occasions or more he’s addressed various events my company hosts in the media and brand communications space. In a sea of mediocre speakers, Mike is one of a kind. His subject knowledge is encyclopaedic relevant and cutting edge, he adds huge value to the digital and social media debate.

I saw Mike speak at Future of Media conferences.
