Couple Of Cool Enterprise 2.0 Conferences Coming Up
I’m pretty excited about a few conferences that’ll be happening in the next few weeks.
There have been a series of successful marketing-related Web 2.0 conferences this year that have served to raise awareness around the power of social media as a platform for engaging consumers, but top quality conferences addressing the application of social media practices and tools behind the corporate firewall have been few and far between. As you know, this emerging trend is a passion of mine so I’m thrilled to be speaking at two upcoming conferences on exactly this subject:
Knowledge Resources is hosting an Internal Communications Seminar this Thursday, 18 September, at the Rosebank Hotel. My topic is Enterprise 2.0: leveraging Web 2.0 platforms for better communication, collaboration and
connection behind corporate firewalls:
Web2.0 tools, trends and technologies have forever changed the way ordinary people interact and network online. Sometimes these people are your customers and sometimes they are your employees. Many companies have felt the burn of Facebook and YouTube abuse, but is the social web all bad news for your business? Mike will strip away the hype of Web 2.0 and show best practice examples of how to integrate the 2.0 world in your company.
Then following on from the remarkable success of their Marketing 2.0 conference, Classic Events are hosting Human Capital Management Using Web 2.0 Technology at the Wanderers Club in Illovo on 20 and 21 October. I think I’m first up at this event, setting the stage for what’s to come over the two days. Really looking forward to this one!
I hope to see you there!
Mike,
Interesting indeed..
Given that the HCM stuff is my stomping ground, very curious as to what you will be saying..
Thomas
Perhaps the conference host could add some more leverage and post audio and/or video somewhere for those of us that are confined to our respective geographic locations on those particular dates.
Nice! Ill definitely try make the conference at Wanderers! I am looking forward to it!
