Learning To Juggle

Andre (Ellis), our uber-developer/designer has a set of 3 juggling balls at our offices at the moment. Every now and then I take a moment to learn to juggle. I have an odd desire to learn to do a whole bunch of things, even just a little bit – but that’s for another post.

Point is, I was thinking about my little juggling attempts and realising life feels a little like that at the moment. Which should explain a bit of why I’m been slightly quiet. A quick snapshot of life looks a bit like this:

1. Family – still trying to be a better dad and hubby
2. Friends – braais / rugby / dinner etc.
3. Cerebra – 12 employees and counting, wanting to be a better leader, major exciting developments on the way
4. Afrigator.com – lotsa stuff happening, wanting to take to next level
5. 27dinners.com – also growing up, the likes of IS and MS wanting to get involved – woohoo!
6. Music – still playing every other week at church, which I love, and just joined a classic rock / blues cover band to make sure my creative juices are flowing
7. Sport – golf, cricket and a bit of football whenever I get the chance
8. Pro bono stuff – I do a bit of under-the-radar consulting and development stuff for the odd worthy cause
9. New projects – yup, believe it or not I have 4 new 2.0 projects on the go. Some will take and others will diiiiiiiiieeeeee
10. Gaming, reading, research, stuff… the other things that keep me alive
11. That stupid, stupid book I promised I’d write
12. This stupid blog I keep feeling like I have to write on
13. The frikkin’ column I never write on time
14. …

Goodness. So if I’m not always 100% available…

… tough.

  1. The book.

When I read your post a week or so ago, I figured it might be a hard one to pull together… Believe me, I know : )

Good luck though, I reckon it’s a worthwhile thing to go for.
