To answer his question – what is it I’m concentrating so hard on in my header? Well, the answer is not much. I just cut the rest of my face out of the pic in the interest of retaining readership :)

I wonder what Speech synthesiser “Rex” is using?
Richard, given the cadences and naturalness of the speech rhythms that Rex is using, I’d be very, very surprised if that’s a voice/speech synthesiser. The first thing to go on a canned voice is the modulation – peaks and valleys, light and shade – in the voice. I could be losing my touch, but I don’t hear that loss here….
