Vodacom Forks Out For Zoopy
The big news in the South African social media scene today is the acquisition of a 40% stake in popular social media sharing site Zoopy by mobile operator Vodacom.
The announcement comes on the back of news that Vincent Maher is making a move from the Mail & Guardian to Vodacom to run their social media portfolio. It will be exciting to see how Vince links up with Jason and team at Zoopy to produce an even better platform, which is saying something, on top of the many other ideas I’m sure are stewing under that curly mop.
