The team at Brandsh have combined with Standard Bank to provide yet another awesome to it’s clients (and potential clients) via the StandardBank.mobi mobile portal - ATM and branch location services.  Navigate to http://standardbank.mobi on your cellphone right now to check it out.

The service is painfully simple to use but incredibly powerful. Standard Bank can tell customers in need of an ATM or branch, in the click of a few buttons, exactly where they need to go to find them. This Beta version of ATM and branch locator is only available to Vodacom subscribers but with MTN hopefully launching in May, 90% of the country’s cellphone users will be locatable.

The service allows users to view the branch or ATM address, request a high-quality map to the nearest ATM (or select from a list of options of those in their vicinity) or alternatively have the address SMS’d to their mobile device. Currently this feature of the mobile site is in Beta and we’d love your feedback via the form in the footer of the Locator section of the site.

This service comes in the wake of a number of other innovations with Standard Bank that include highly successful campaigns on MXit for Student loans, Achiever Banking and most recently all the mobile and social media activity around the Standard Bank Pro20 tournament. The key thing that has made this possible has been the appetite that Standard Bank is showing to trying out new things. Clearly mobile is the new social frontier, and Brandsh media are leading the way in implementing campaigns for big brands.  I’m proud to be associated with them!
