MIX08 Wednesday Morning
It’s a half hour to go before the opening keynote of MIX08 to be delivered by Ray Ozzie, Scott Guthrie and Dean Hachamovitch (heads up the Internet Explorer team). I’ll be live-tweeting the keynote and will upload a summary of my notes here afterwards.
I’m simply blown away by the sheer size of this event. I knew there’d be thousands of attendees but I hadn’t quite visualised the magnitude of that many spectacularly geeky people in one space at one time. And speaking of spaces, the Venetian hotel where we are staying is simply enormous, with over 7,000 rooms available altogether. Here’s a pic I took of the delegates eating breakfast in one of the humongous ballrooms this morning…

Last night was spent with the Microsoft SA gang and some of the Australian MS evangelists at a place called Roy’s a bit out of town. It was an awesome meal with good company. Also got to chat to Duncan Riley a bit - I’ve been an admirer of his blogging long before his TechCrunch appointment - we chatted a bit about South Africa and random Web stuff. Good times.
Ok, 15 to go before the keynote, let me get my act together.
