Highlights from the 4th session (posted rather late as I thought it had published and alas, it had not), which will be cut short when I need to leave to get ready for our panel w00t!

1. Huddle

Huddle is a social collaboration app that runs independently or in Facebook (enabling your work the way you play) for business. “Huddle is a simple and secure service that works like a social network for business but includes all the powerful collaboration tools you need to get stuff done. Huddle works just like you. With Huddle you can instantly create a network of collaborative workspaces, bringing together the right players for the right project – business or social.”

2. PC Mobilizr

Awesome - PCMobilizr allows you to access your desktop PC from anywhere using your mobile device. With PCMobilizr you can see the screen of your computer and control the mouse and keyboard using your mobile device from practically anywhere. Software as a service.

“PCMobilizr is comprised of 3 components. The Client software which is installed onto your mobile device, the Agent which is installed onto the computer you want to access, and the PCMobilizr Service which is located on the internet. When you install the Agent onto your desktop PC, it maintains a persistent HTTPS connection to the PCMobilizr Service, waiting for a connection from your mobile device. When you initiate a connection from your mobile device, it connects to the PCMobilizr Service, which routes your connection to your PC which is running the Agent software.”

3. Nirvanix

“The box is dead”. THe Nirvanix storage delivery network allows a user to upload any file up to the size of 256 Gb, the network determines where in the cloud to store it. “The Nirvanix Storage Delivery Network dramatically shortens time-to-market, reduces costs, and provides flexibility and control for businesses integrating Internet-scale online storage to their applications”. Or something like that. I just liked the way they smashed a PC box on stage.
