My Musically Gifted Bro

I have a brother. He has many talents. Playing the guitar is one of them. In this clip, recorded about a year back, he plays one of his original songs which I really enjoy. Sure, I’m biased, but I think he has serious potential. He has written in the region of about a hundred songs other than this one, not all great, but certainly not crap.

So what do you think? (Honestly)

  1. Hey Mike

Yeah, well done. I’ve got a friend who makes Afrikaans music, also original stuff and I’ve been trying to convince him to go YouTubing as well, this will serve as inspiration ;-)

Tell your bro well done. He’s got some talent.

    Regards

  2. I think this is brilliant. I hope he gets good exposure from this – is he going to be posting more stuff online for us to download?

  5. Mike, he’s got a lovely ‘angst’ tone in the voice. He could do with fractionally better articulation (i.e. the clarity of individual syllables or words), unless the genre means it doesn’t really matter if you can’t hear all the words? (That’s the speaker coach in me comin’ out.) I like what he does. YouTube seems like a great way to get the exposure. Some sussed talent scout/agent might just be trawling through it. Bon chance, Dave! May we get autographs while they still come cheap? ;-)

  6. [...] Mike posted this video of his brother singing one of his own songs. I really like this song and Mike’s brother, Dave, is fantastic: [...]
