How You Know You’re No Longer An “A-List” Blogger
I’ve been called many things since I started blogging. Not all of them have been nice.
Lately though, as a by-product of trying to take over the world with Cerebra (one has to grow up sometime), I’ve been called nothing. I think it was Dave Duarte who once spoke words of wisdom, saying that sometimes even negative publicity is better than no publicity
I was quite distraught to discover I’m not even up for suspicion of Deventer-ness, according to Matthew Buckland. Warranted, I’ve missed the Guy McLaren / Deventer / etc. issue as badly as Juan Martin Hernandez misses passes to his wingers, but I thought at least a minor slur in my direction would not have gone amiss. Alas, it seems I have slipped from the consciousness of South Africa’s blogging elite into corporate, capitalistic nothingness.
Methinks I need to dream up some skanky conspiracy of my own to rediscover relevance. Any advice Guy?

Mike, since your other venture has a name which conjures up images of a villan or super comuputer which needs to be destroyed in order to SAVE the world, Im quite sure that the TMNT, He-Man, Transformers and other super hero bloggers (Hiro Nakamura perhaps) are working on a plan which should ensure you see lots of “action” in the near future.
Keep it up … the “Idea Virus” will spread and comments will be aplenty!

Mike Stopforth asked for advice on how to create a conspiracy. Why he would ask me, I never created anything except this wonderful CMS that I use.

LOL… that was an omission on my part. Possibly because you sensibly stayed out of the debacle, much like I had — rolling my eyes every time there was a mention. But I got interested when I suspected the Bolton riddle could be closer to home and until I started reading his blog, which was truly brilliant.
Don’t tell me it’s you, Mr Stopforth?

You movers and shakers in the SA Blogosphere are gonna have to figure out WHY you give local bloggers so FEW visitors, because until you can deliver, you will never EARN.
I write about my frustrations here:

@Nic – yeah I’ve noticed your relative quiet of late
@Sarah – can’t say I’m smart or resourceful enough to have dreamed up or birthed any aliases – eish
@Guy – I fantasize about the publicity you’ve received dude! Today, Vincent Maher’s blog, tomorrow, 3Talk!!!!
@Matt – just not smart enough
@Richard – don’t quite understand the comment, but if I call you a tonsil, will you please sue me?

Mike,
Stop bitching – you know you’ll bounce back as flavour of the month soon.
If it’ll help, I can slag you off at my site to drive curious readers to your site to see who it is that I am dissing!!
Hey, n boer maak n plan! I think it was Mick Jagger who said there is nothing worse than not being talked about and there is no such thing as bad publicity.
Anyway I am ready to roll the presses with the Dissing Mike Stopforth blog if you think it’ll help raise that brilliant profile of yours.
BWahaahaahaa!
Kind regards
