Prometeus And The Agav
Contrary to what you may be thinking the title of this post is not my delusionary response to an overdose of Valium and Voltaren (my two new best friends) after sustaining a sever lower back sprain while playing action cricket the other evening.
It is rather the theme of a ‘Future of Media and the Web’-type video I found on Read/Write Web early this morning. The video surmises what innovations and developments the next 43 years in media and connectivity might bring to us, guessing that Google will dominate (surprise!), but through the form of an entity the producers of the video called ‘Prometeus’. Without any further ado…
It’s a little exagurated here and there, and the accent is a little hairy, but an impressive video all the same. I don’t agree on all points, especially not regarding the emergence of SecondLife as the dominant virtual world (I think that’s like having predicted Alta Vista as the dominant search engine now, back in ‘91). However, it is thought-provoking and nicely put together.
Oh and I especially dig the notion that Larry Lessig could be the US Secretary of State

Very good video, however just a tad over exaggerated.
Haha! It’s got a kind of a Resident Evil feel to it.
This guy has obviously been watching too many Sci-fi movies.
Then again with the exponential growth of technology, who knows what will happen, and in 30-40 years time, nobody can even guess.
