Cerebra Collaborates With UCT Graduate School Of Business
A really cool development thanks to the ongoing hard work of my Cerebra partner Dave Duarte is our recently announced collaboration with the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business on an executive programme called Nomadic Marketing.
From the site:
Time magazine announced that the person of the year is “You – the ordinary user of the internet”. The power of the media is being distributed from the few to the many through user-generated content on sites like YouTube and Blogger. This new, conversational online marketplace is called “Web 2.0″, and it is significantly affecting the business world – particularly prominent organisations. This course will help you to:
1. Gain certainty about the fundamentals of the “new web” – web fluency and social media strategy
2. Understand the most important tools such as blogs, wikis and social networks and how to use them for business
3. Use social media to facilitate participation and idea-sharing through your department, organisation and market
4. Understand the size, shape and trajectory of the South African internet and mobile usership
5. Learn how South African companies can use the web to increase awareness and engagement with their brands
6. Gain an understanding of new marketing strategies that have emerged as a result of the online participation culture
Dave has put some really long hours with the help of the Genius Hunter to put this innovative, cutting-edge programme together. It’s going to be brilliant.
Please let us know if you’d be interested in attending, or know someone who should be there.
