Blog Tag
Dave Gale is playing tag, and apparently I’m one of 5 ‘its’. I have to divulge 5 dirty little secrets and then ‘tag’ 5 other bloggers to do the same. Heck, why not.
Here goes - 5 things you probably don’t know about me:
1. I worked in a church as a youth pastor for a year. I still do work with teenagers, mostly around personal development. Also as a musician, which brings me to point two…
2. I play the drums. I have since I was 16, started largely because I had a crush on a girl at school who played and figured it was a way in. Have played in church bands, punk rock bands (have shared a stage with some awesome SA acts) - met many cool people (Parlotones, Marlowe, Wonderboom) in the band days. Really miss playing.
3. I have worked some other interesting jobs. I’ve sold remote controlled cars, welding machines and earthmoving spare parts.
4. I am a raving lunatic SA sports fan. I’m obsessed with cricket and rugby but will watch anything on the telly except for show-jumping and swimming. I play cricket and golf, but pretty much suck at everything else (I try nonetheless).
5. In April 2005, 19 months ago, I’d never heard of a blog. I was still selling parts for Caterpillar machines
My five tags are:
Dave Duarte
Carl Spies
Scott Gray
Peas on Toast
Max Kaizen

Heck Mike… you mean I can only confess to five?
Ahem!! thought these were supposed to be dirty little secrets Mike

i’m afraid i have no secrets. except that i lie sometimes.
I’ll bite — what is “show jumping”?
Show jumping is horse riding, over poles. I think.
Hello Mikey!
Thanks for your tag old chap!
I’ve already done the 5 dirty little secrets thing, so I’ll conjure a slightly different tangent if you’ll allow me: how about 5 dirty little things I’ve done?
[...] oh hooray.. silly season is almost in full bloom, and the grown-ups get to play too. Blogger tag coupled with a postsecret edge attached. I got tagged by Stopforth who was tagged by Dave Gale who started the game.. naturally naughty Mike said it was 5 dirty little secrets (eeek!) but thankfully, tootling over to source I saw that by Dave’s rules it need only be 5 things not many people know about you - whew!! I am however somewhat confused about this tagging thing that is going on.. could you maybe shed some more light on it for me? Thanks.

[...] I’ve been suckered into the third blogging meme in as many weeks. First up was the 5 Things You Don’t Know About Me thingy, closely followed by the Superhero thingy, and now Aquila and Shaun have enlightened me to the “Your Life As A Soundtrack” meme. It’s getting sadder, and I’m game. Here’s how it works: [...]
