TECH4FRICA
Gareth Knight is doing some research for a conference, called TECH4FRICA he hopes to host next year right here in Johannesburg.
Help him by providing some idea of what you’d like to see at such a conference - it would be great to get a couple of really hot speakers out to SA on some prevalent topics.
would be great to get Google out to speak, especially given their moves into Africa and South Africa. Aim for the top as a start. I can help with contacts here if you’d like that you could use as a start to initiate a chat with them. Also would love to see example of convergence and converged devices… maybe an expert and examples here. Wits I know have just opened a “Convergence lab”… don’t know if its any good… but may be an angle worth following on?
I work at North Harris College in Houston, TX (USA) and we are looking at technologies that bridge the gap between traditional marketing (advertising) and the technology savvy Millenials (SMS, email, etc.).
That might be something to consider as you pull together your conference.
