Cogenz: del.icio.us for the Enterprise and More
Niall Cook has created Cogenz, a social bookmarking tool designed for the enterprise. Now it’s no secret (especially after BarCamp Jozi) that I think del.icio.us rocks but apart from dogear (which has been around a while but is not to my knowledge available for use yet) I have not yet seen anyone doing anything creative with social bookmarking specifically the enterprise application. del.icio.us is awesome, but my clients want to use it behind the corporate firewall. Cogenz (which is a contraction of ‘collective intelligence’) could be the answer to my prayers. According to their blog, this is what it’ll look like:

Also from the blog:
Cogenz will be a hosted service (with maybe a hardware appliance later) with different pricing levels depending on the number of people that you want to have using it within your organisation. We’ll probably make it free to small groups of people once we’re out of private beta.
I’m also chuffed as anything to see that they’re building in some expertise management stuff, some social network visualisation stuff, the ability to cross bookmark to del.icio.us and a number of other mouth-wateringly cool things.
Closed beta invite please!!!

Beta invite on its way!
Lol - thanks for the prompt response Niall - am loving the app. Will post a review soon.
