Have PSP, Will Play!

Posted in Life, etc.

I was given a PSP (Playstation Portable for the technologically challenged) yesterday - lucky me - and I’m pleased to report that my gadget repository is now almost complete. Just eyeing out a new cellphone, but that can wait. A month or so.

Problem is, it came minus a battery charger. I learnt in the East Rand Finishing School that a gentleman does not look a gift horse in the mouth, so I was not about to rumble through the contents of the box to check if everything was there (it is pre-owned).

So here I sit, at my desk, staring at the blank screen of my almost new PSP wondering what it must look like when switched on. I’ve opened and closed every compartment at least seventeen times. I know that all the buttons shift and oscillate magnificently. I have examined the memory stick and all looks well. I have polished the screen and it is spotless.

Got sock. Got games. Got headset. Got manual. Need charger.

So, what’s your favourite gadget, and if you own a PSP, what has your experience been? Compared to my video iPod the interface is distractingly busy, but hey, bells and whistles have their place.

Oh, and a sincere thank you to you-know-who-you-are for making me digitally complete :).

WP2.0.4 is not my favourite gadget at the moment…

    Is this a gadget?

If not, then probably my Leatherman Squirt (without charger, but then it doesn’t need one)- a multi-tool that fits into my wallet and has helped me out of a few tricky situations (blame it on McGyver and being a Scout)
